This is smart. You can’t pretend to be developing the whole Metaverse in general, while worrying about burn rate. Having a specific use case creates focus on what functionality has to be in place and prioritizes what problems to solve first. The General Metaverse can only benefit, even if indirectly.
Remote work collaboration and education are great first priority use cases.
(OK, there is probably more money in pr0n, but that use case tends to get developed by itself ;-)).
