Soooo lucy and the ball is back but in a interesting way

Blender avatars work fine, until you put on a rift
Then it kangaroos off into the distance…

I tried a few things and got nowhere

what i tried
renaming all the bones to remove the mixamo prefix -ozans don’t have it
made no difference
Andrew said it does the same on 4047 i went back to 4000 and can confirm it does it there also
I think I assumed it just hid the avatar in rift mode

The only thing i can think to check is the xrotation of everything
ozans avas have a 90degree x rotation
but when i do that 2 it messes everything else up
maybe its like the mixamo fix import gubbins and we have to do all that stuff in reverse

but and here’s the problem
Blender users with rifts who do we have @AlphaVersionD ooh yes fix it sanku
noone else will have this problem till were 6 months down the line and its 2 late

next thing im lookin at which could be likely
everything on my judas modal wasn’t x=90

how do i edit a rig so it remains in the same place but its x=90?
for a cube u stick it in edit mode rotate it 90degrees then stick it in object mode and rotate it back into place

I am probably going to have to play around with this if this effected anything else as well.

#3

I ran ozans judd avatar through blender and back to hifi and that was fine
so its the Mixamo ones have the problem after being blendered

#4

I sent you my av to test if that works. Could you check? (also someday i need to verify if those finger bones are correct)

#5

Without the dk2 The hands open and close with the rift
The arms work with the hydras
with the rift your ava stays in place correctly but the arms stop working with the hydras
the hands still work tho

Blender users with DK1 or DK2 role call:

Those I know of:

Myself
CtrlAltDavid
Judas
Balpien Hammer
Cracker Hax
Chris and the HiFi Offices
Thoys
Menithal

#7

I have both as well. I have yet to try them in HiFi though oddly enough.

Basically. You first apply rotations for the armature. Then rotate the armature so that your planking the ground (If i remember correctly. I dont have my notes atm). Then apply again

After this rotate again so that the avatar is standing.
Do not apply rotation. Export.

Ok we have a winner

sooo select the rig rotate x-90 apply rotation
select everything rotate x90
no avatar catapult

so we needs an automatic way to 1 click this shit
for the hifi tools

:slightly_smiling:

MakeHuman as avatar not shown but good as a static model

Needs to also check before doing the changes that is the 90 degree already applied.
