Bug: Interface crashes if WebWindows are left open on Exit

#1

Just putting this up: On Windows 7,
If any web-windows are left open, such as properties or edit window or log, the client crashes on exit.

#2

Can you provide more details about what OS you are running? Have you updated the the very latest build? What scripts are you running? What domain were you in when you shutdown?

I just tested the latest official builds for Windows v2792 (on Windows 8.1) and Mac v2634 (OSX 10.10.3) and quit while the Edit/properties window was open, and it did not crash on either platform.

#3

I tested this on 2792 on Windows 7 Professional (64bit) SP1.

  • I was running default bundle + walk.js.
  • Also occurs if all scripts are disabled and Preferences were open. but does not occur if scripts are already disabled on login.
  • I was in my domain, Centre.

Seems to occur every now and then: but a while ago happened quite often… Ill try to get the logs when it does it next.

This started happening recently, I dont remember which build though.

#4

If you’re able to provide a stack trace that would be great. Maybe this is a win7.1 issue.

#5

Okay, i got it to occur again, but since I dont work with the source code, the stacktrace is obfuscated. seem to have something to do with the QT5Script failing to Respond.

Mostly this is what I got on Exit that crashed with the edit window open: Was running all default scripts + voxels.js, build 2802, Windows 7 Pro SP1.

And thats when the UI crashes. The logs do not manage to print this out, and it all goes to the Debugger. Not sure if that helps.
