Build fails on Debian Wheezy

#1

Hello,

I’m trying to build Hifi on a server with Debian Wheezy, and it fails with this error message :

http://pastie.org/10013176

I’ve installed all the dependencies indicated in the documentation and here : https://alphas.highfidelity.io/t/debian-jess-compile-success/1160. Reading this article : http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26780665/c-unimplemented-non-static-data-member-initializers, I’ve tried to upgrade my gcc version (from 4.6.3 to 4.7.2), all that without success.

Any idea ?

Thank you

I am not sure about the error you are getting, though I am now compiling on Debian using gcc (Debian 4.9.2-10) 4.9.2. I had to track debian/unstable for a number of things recently to get my compile to work and ended up tracking it for everything in the end, at least until the Jessie freeze is over. Hopefully I can get back to a good compile on Debian/testing then, as while I like the leading edge, I am wary of the ragged edge.

Ubuntu periodically forks of Debian/nstable, so is a bit ahead of stable and testing branches of Debian on versions for some things (and slightly less stable, though for desktop use this is likely not much of a concern).
