Crashes of the interface on Mac

#1

Since some days I crash with every closing of the interface today with mac-3056. .
I have updated my domain - no changes.
resetting my interface data - no changes.
teleported to sandbox and closed there the interface- same result.
login at the sandbox and stopped the interface - same result.
stopped al scripts - same result.

#2

yes, the very same thing happens to me.

#3

hello, hello dear developers, I crash until now with every closing of the interface. Help please!!!

crashlog of the Mac: Dyld Error Message:
can’t resolve symbol _CleanupConnexionHandlers in /Applications/interface.app/Contents/MacOS/interface because dependent dylib #1 could not be loaded

#5

I can add my name to a mac user with interface crashing at shutdown every time for the last several days…and on two different machines.

#6

Also 3064 has not brought something new - I crash until now. The Crashlog is the same. In the sources I have found the
_CleanupConnexionHandlers here:

ConnexionClientAPI.h
// Public APIs to be called once when the application starts up or shuts down

int16_t SetConnexionHandlers (ConnexionMessageHandlerProc messageHandler, ConnexionAddedHandlerProc addedHandler, ConnexionRemovedHandlerProc removedHandler, bool useSeparateThread);
void CleanupConnexionHandlers (void);

and in 3DConnexionClient.cpp
void ConnexionClient::destroy() {
// Make sure the framework is installed
if (&InstallConnexionHandlers != NULL) {
// Unregister our client and clean up all handlers
if (fConnexionClientID) {
UnregisterConnexionClient(fConnexionClientID);
}
CleanupConnexionHandlers();
fConnexionClientID = 0;
ConnexionData& connexiondata = ConnexionData::getInstance();
if (connexiondata.getDeviceID()!=0) {
auto userInputMapper = DependencyManager::get();
userInputMapper->removeDevice(connexiondata.getDeviceID());
connexiondata.setDeviceID(0);
}
}
}

It would be nice to get some response, that this problem is known.

Interface crashing +1

#8

Well we are now by update 3075 and it has become worser for me. Today I’m also crashed in edit mode. The script editor doesn’t work right. So nearly no work is possible in the moment.

#9

Mac 3097 I crash until now with every closing.

At MagicGame I can login after crash again, but come always to 0,0,0. Path is 512,512,512 at MagicGame.

The Stackmanager fully doesn’t work. I crash already before login. Crashes also happen from time to time in edit mode.

#10

I crash until now - build mac 3174

  • during every start of interface via stack manager or from directory page
  • I don’t crash, if I start the interface directly.
  • crash also by every closing of the interface.

#11

I’m getting the interface crashes also, on build 3174.

I’m also seeing a crash when I try to activate 3D Connexion from Developer-> Avatar, which may provide a clue to what’s amiss here.

#12

Yay, today the crashes with the stackmanager at the start of the interface are gone and I also could login again with the directory page.
Only the crashes during the closing of the interface happens until now.

#13

I crash until now with every closing of interface.

#14

Interface mac-3356
I crash again with every start of interface.

Last debug messages before crash:
[11/05 18:29:24] [DEBUG] First call to Menu::getInstance() - initing menu.
[11/05 18:29:24] [DEBUG] Loading runtime plugins from “/Applications/interface.app/Contents/MacOS/plugins/”
[11/05 18:29:24] [DEBUG] Attempting plugins “liboculusLegacy.dylib”
[11/05 18:29:24] [DEBUG] Plugins “liboculusLegacy.dylib” success

#15

I have tried it 3 times, to believe it, the crashes are gone. No crash at the opening and no crash at closing. Here in Germany we say: Knock on wood.
No clue, if you also have this saying. It dos mean: may it remain.

Thanks dev team, you have made my day.
