Crashing on startup for build 628 on PC

#1

Today I downloaded 628 on PC and I’m unable to log in.

I get only as far as the console starting, then a crash before I’m offered a log-in screen. Is anyone else having this issue?

Here is my entire log:

#2

Having the same problem.

#3

Same here! On OS X, though.

#4

The same for me on two Windows 7 PCs.

#5

yup same win7 64

#6

oh second try it worked wierdness

#7

I had the same issue, never logged in before, using Win 7. Stopped after the “Startup Time:” line every time. I then tried a 613 downloaded earlier in the week that I hadn’t had the chance to try yet and it started right up, but it insisted I use the update. I re-installed 628 and now am able to log right in, no problem.

#8

Me too on build 628 on Windows 8.1 pro on a MS Surface Pro (mark 1) today. Reverted to 625 and that works fine.

I saw some people managed to get 628 going on second install, so I retried that too, no joy. A second install of 628 over the already installed 628 also had no effect. Interface still crashed. Reverted back to 625 and things work again.

Windows reports and “APPCRASH”, but no useful info in the console at crash time…

#9

Was able to log in on build 633!

#10

Seems to be okay again now for me with Build 644.

#11

Hi there, I just downloaded the interface 775 and it crashes every time.

Where do I get the other versions of the interface that seem to be working for you guys such as 644?

Many thanks
Xara.

#12

about 15 mins ago the servers seemed to be all restarted maybe try again

#13

Great, many thanks Judas.

#14

I think I’m having the same issue, not sure but appears triggered by avatar or mesh. Will try again tonight.

#15

The crashing upon logging in to the interface still seems to be problem even today.
As yet I haven’t been able to successfully log in.
Please advise if you can.

#16

@XaraFiasco in your case can you send me your logs?

#17

Yes, Chris, here is a screen shot, the logs disappear leaving me with this screen,

Thanks again,
Xara.

@XaraFiasco Hi Xara,

You should find log files are being stored on your PC in C:\Users<UserName>\AppData\Local\High Fidelity\Interface\Logs

If the AppData directory is hidden, go to C:\Users<UserName> and in Windows Explorer’s address field, just type in the missing "\AppData and you should be right.
