Custom Buildings with Archilogic

Hey everyone!

Two weeks ago, we hosted a ‘Pavilion Warming Party’ to celebrate the opening of the Frank Lloyd Wright Banff Pavilion in High Fidelity and our partnership with Archilogic, a service for creating 3D models from 2D floor plans. As part of our partnership, we’re offering High Fidelity users the opportunity to create their own floor plan and submit them to get their own custom building for use in their High Fidelity domain.

To Submit a Floorplan:

  1. Following the instructions in our Creating Buildings for High Fidelity documentation, generate a PNG, JPG, or PDF of your desired floor plan (up to 2,000sf / 100m2)
  2. Meet with @Jazmin in-world at hifi://welcome to discuss your floor plan. You can find her on Monday, April 10 - Saturday, April 15 from 10:00am-11:00am & 5:00pm-6:00pm (PST) and get information on where to submit your plans.

You must meet with Jazmin inside of High Fidelity in order to have your floor plan considered for this promotion. While the Archilogic promotion is running, High Fidelity will download your model and set it up in a public domain with other buildings. You can take the model from there: we will help you migrate the building to your choice of domains, including your private server. We expect to keep the public domain housing the created models available for users to visit for the duration of the promotion with Archilogic.

If you wish to keep the model private (e.g. not for use in High Fidelity), we will review your request to do so on a case by case basis. We do not consider requests for production of models for use outside High Fidelity a part of this promotion. We may elect at our discretion to deliver models being developed for non-profit or artistic purposes directly to you from cloud storage. In these cases, we hope you will consider adding the building to High Fidelity in the future.

Let us know if you have any questions!
