Does high fidelity already support single plane double sided textures. It would be bug improvement to lower drawcalls and amount if verticis. It also make tree’s mire easy and low poly.
Not without a custom shader, but probably doable with the new material entities later on down the line.
Although actually having double sided rendering still doubles the amount of stuff to render, so its not exactly “cheap”, which is why most have a material specific setting to render something double sided.
Better just to manually double and flip parts that need to have another side, and use the same material.
The amount of drawcalls wont be any different nor the amount of vertices.
It mabye render more but it’s lowering the amount of vertices if you can use double sided. It make some things more easy to But it’s not supported. and that’s what i wanted to know.
it may lower the amount of vertices, but its still the same performance wise since its rendering the stuff two times so the end result is the same
