Interface crashes on launch (Windows 7 server pack 1)


I’ve tried the Interface for the first time tonight. First, I installed the latest version 2275. It crashed on launch, so I uninstalled it and then installed the stable version 2271. It acts the same. It crashes each time I start it.

@nik.nikolov Hi! This might be the same crash as being discussed at the end of this forum thread: Though you’re always getting it at start-up (which isn’t good!) whereas some other people are getting it during operation.


Which video card are you using? I’m on a intel HD5000 GPU and the interface would always crash on startup. I updated my graphics drivers and now it just crashes on exit. But I’m now only seeing the stars and the atmosphere. All the models are scrambled polygons that seem to be dropped on top of my view/camera. I also see cutout avatars when I first enter a world but then they quickly vanish leaving just a floating name. I guess that’s a result of the avatar mesh finally downloading and then also being dumped on top of my camera/view.
