Interface on GTX 10x0 laptop with embedded GPU?

Does Interface run properly on a laptop with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 / 1080 where the Intel CPU has an embedded GPU?

For example, current Alienware laptops have CPUs such as the Intel i7-7700HQ or i7-7820HK, both of which incorporate an Intel HD graphics core.

(I believe Interface used to have problems with CPUs that had embedded GPUs but have these been addressed?)

It works fine on a 1 year old Alienware with a GTX980m and also with a GTX 1080 in a Graphics Amplifier. I, for one, have never had any problems running interface on my laptop.

Only time I think that may be an issue is when running an HMD off it: but that may be an issue that was solved with the latest HMD firmware and drivers.

@Ron.Khondji Does your CPU have an embedded Intel GPU?

Yes. It’s a ‘Intel Core i7-6820 HK CPU’ with
integrated graphics: HD Graphics 530
Discrete graphics: GTX 980M or, with alienware graphics amplifier, GTX 1080.

In the Nvidia settings I have set the ‘high performance Nvidia processor’ as the preferred graphics processor.

Thanks very much, @Ron.Khondji

With extensive use, the NVIDIA GPU does not maintain its multithreading and you can consider the ones manufactured by and AMD as well.
