I started playing with rotations in preparation of ‘bringing’ in car scripts. Applying a simple rotation to an entity is easy:
Unfortunately, all rotations are world coordinates, so if a script rotates the object (as in turning the tires), one has to reapply the omega rotation and that creates a reorientation artifact. But, the issue that stymies my efforts is that I realized there is no mechanism (or I cannot find it) to link or group entities into an’ object’ an assembly of entities. Furthermore, at the model level, I find no interfaces to apply changes to a part of a model.
Is this an understood omission? f so, any idea when grouped entities is going to happen? Without that, decent vehicles implementation is at a showstopper point.
