Linux: How to get Haswell integrated graphics cards to work with HiFi (intel HD4400/HD4600/etc)

#1

Here is a version of Mesa3D with over 100 patches to get OpenGL 4 to work on Intel Haswell integrated graphics cards. Warning - might take a lot of work to do this…

You will probably need all the packages listed here at intel’s open source site (but don’t get mesa yet).

Then to get the version of mesa you need use:

git clone --depth 1 --branch i965-fp64-gen7-ivb-scalar-vec4 https://github.com/Igalia/mesa.git

I did all this and got OpenGL and GLSL 4.0, but still not enough for hifi (need 4.1).

Update:
Ok got HiFi to work with opengl 4.0 (and hlsl 4.0) using this small patch.

Forgot to mention in the title… this is for Linux. Too bad I can’t edit it to say that now!

Intel+mesa drivers now support opengl 4.5! You can find the stack recipe here
