Objects with PBR textures



What is the actually status to the topic physical based rendering? Is Maya still the only one possibility to upload objects with PBR textures? Or is it possible to create such objects with blender to the upload?

On this point, I do not find good the dependency on an application. Would a solution like in SL not be better, where you can define the textures in dialogs?

You can assign the textures in blender or maya or whatever
I dont wanna assign them inworld thats stupid and slow
that would be like having all these wonderfull 3d modeling packages and building things using primative blocks in a silly game engine
