Opacity in High Fidelity


Anyone know why it has been decided to apply the average alpha to the entire map in HF?
Is it for any performance issue?

On the new avatar market, there is not any avatar where the hairs are correctly rendered because of that weird rule.

Note that I found my way to get a decent hair texture (No, I won’t tell you the secrete), but I think, as it works now, that it’s a bit too much outside the standards.
