Recommended maximum model dimensions


What is the recommended max model dimensions (in meters) to reach optimum performance with LOD and any planned occlusion code ?

For example, a 10m road segment, 100m road segment, or the entire 5000m road.

The performance depends heavily on the polycount of the asset, the size of the texture. We have an asset that is roughly 500k tris and it runs fairly fast. That might be a good upper limit to target. The texture size is clamped at 1024 resolution. Many of the texture we use are 512. Also, it’s good to make sure the geo is composed of quad and triangles.
